The Snowsports program at Alpine Meadows-based Achieve Tahoe provides private adaptive ski and snowboard lessons for all abilities and starting on Mon., Nov. 2nd, they’ll begin accepting reservations for the winter season that runs from Dec. 1st, 2020 through April 25, 2021 (conditions permitting). Seriously, if you have the slightest desire to play around on the slopes, these folks will find the right equipment to safely and securely get you out there.

They invite and encourage people of all skill levels - first-timers to advanced - and abilities to come take a lesson with them as they can accommodate just about anyone with any disability through their specialized teaching techniques and adaptive equipment. One of their coolest pieces is the TetraSki, quite literally a snow version of a power wheelchair for quadriplegics. Their programs run at Alpine Meadows, Squaw Valley, Northstar and Sugar Bowl.

They also offer a limited number of scholarships for those who may not be able to afford the programs which you can apply for HERE. If you have questions or need assistance with making a reservation, please contact them at (530) 581-4161 x6 or at info@achievetahoe.org
