Sonoma County Peer Support Meeting To Discuss How To Deal With Pain

Stephen Schmidt, Physical Therapy Rehabilitation Supervisor at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center, will make a presentation on this topic at the next meeting on Monday, June 20th at 5 p.m.Stephen Schmidt Pain is a critical protective system designed to prevent, limit or reduce tissue damage in acute injuries but can become a really big problem when it goes on for a long period of time.

This lecture is designed to provide the latest neuroscience research on how pain works, how it can impact daily life of people with spinal cord injury, and provide a framework on what to do about it.
