Americans For Cures seeks ambassadors, offers training on Jan. 31st

Americans for Cures is a California nonprofit that is organizing to make sure California continues to support stem cell research following the passage of Proposition 71 in 2004, which authorized $3 billion for stem cell research.

Americans for Cures offers an Ambassador Program to empower patient advocates to become great organizers. They hold monthly training where new Ambassadors learn more about their work, meet other patient advocates and stem cell scientists, and gain practical skills in public speaking and community organizing. Check out their website here: www.americansforcures.org.

This month’s Ambassador Training will take place 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31st at the Courtyard Marriott Sacramento Midtown, 4422 Y Street, Sacramento. Attendance is free and meals are provided.
