VIDEO: Adjustment after SCI - coping strategies to use

Last week's SCI Connections Series featured a 62-minute presentation from Dr. Mark Held, clinical psychologist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Dr. Held discussed evidence-based practices that can aid with emotional concerns and adjustment following a spinal cord injury. He also discussed ways to integrate technology into behavioral health needs. At SCMVC, he assists patients and families as they process through emotional and cognitive changes that can occur after a spinal cord injury. He has research interests in implementing technology and telemedicine into practice with patients who have experienced spinal cord injuries.
