Carole Adler Hughes, BA, OT/L

Carole has spent the majority of her career as an Occupational Therapist dedicated to the treatment of individuals with Spinal Cord Injuries.   She worked as a supervisor on the Spinal Cord Injury Unit and Rehab Trauma Center at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, Calif. for nearly 35 years.   She was a member of the hospital-wide medical ethics committee for 18 years.  In 2012, she resigned from Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and is currently working as an independent contractor and spinal cord injury clinical consultant.

Carole is the author of numerous textbook chapters on Occupational Therapy Treatment of Spinal Cord Injury and has taught and lectured nationally and internationally on all aspects of SCI treatment.  

Carole received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from San Diego State University and a graduate degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California.
