Abilities Expo wheels into San Mateo Oct. 27-29

It is one of the most anticipated events of the year for individuals with disabilities when Abilities Expo comes to San Mateo from Fri., Oct. 27th through Sun., Oct. 29th.

NorCal SCI will have a booth at the event with giveaways and information, so be sure to stop by and meet Nick, Franklin & Carl.

We couldn't help but notice some pretty cool workshops that will be held this year, including topics on traveling, sexuality, emergency preparedness, medical marijuana and much more.  There will be service dog demos, adaptive rowing and wheelchair tennis, rugby and lacrosse, so the whole weekend is full of activities for everyone to enjoy.  Dozens of exhibitors showcasing their products and services enable you to personally examine everything and get answers to your questions.

We also realized last year, when we attended the Expo in San Jose, that it is also a great opportunity to meet friends you may have not seen in a while as well as make new ones sharing your challenges, so don't miss it.

FREE BUS TRANSPORTATION FROM BERKELEY
BORP will provide free roundtrip transportation on Sat., Oct. 28th from Berkeley.  Space is limited, so contact Sarah-Dawn Smith at (949) 205-9058 for all the details.
