Wheelchair salsa dance class seeks partners for free Oct. 28 workshop

We ran into Derrick Williamson, instructor for the American DanceWheels Foundation, at the Accessibility Day in San Jose back in August as he conducted a wheelchair dance demonstration.  He's now recruiting dance partners for his upcoming wheelchair salsa workshop being held on Oct. 28th from 12:30-2:30 p.m. at the Bascom Community Center in San Jose.  You'll learn how to dance salsa right from within your wheelchair, not only a fun event but also uplifting with the level of energy the accompanying music also helps create.

The Foundation is a national non-profit organization that teaches and promotes wheelchair ballroom dance.  To take part in this class, you must RSVP in advance by contacting Derrick at derrick.jw@outlook.com.  Bascom Community Center is located at 1000 Bascom Community Center in San Jose.
