Public invited to opening of SCVMC's new rehab center on Dec. 2

Years after Santa Clara County voters approved a bond measure to fund the construction of a state-of-the-art facility to house the Santa Clara County Medical Center's rehabilitation center, among others, the day that we can finally see the results of that work has finally arrived when the hospital hosts a ribbon cutting and community celebration on Sat., Dec. 2nd from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The formal ceremony begins at 11:15 a.m. and food, refreshments, music and activities will take place throughout the ceremony.  The new facility features 168 single-patient private rooms, a brand new pool, innovative and advanced equipment to treat patients with all levels of injury and disorders, and an open and bright interior that promises to lift up everyone's spirits.  All the current patients are scheduled to be transferred to the new facility by Dec. 10th.

The event is open to the general public.  The building is located at 751 S. Bascom Ave. in San Jose, next to the existing rehab center (you really can't miss it).

NorCal SCI will report on the opening next week complete with pictures and videos showcasing this new facility.
