Stem Cell research pioneer running for Congress

In the field of stem cell research, there are not many names more famous than Dr. Hans Keirstead.  He helped advance the embryonic stem cell clinical trials currently being run by Asterias Biotherapeutics.

Dr. Keirstead just announced that he will be running for Congress challenging the 18-term Orange County Republican Dana Rohrabacher in the November 2018 election.  The 50-year-old Democrat is currently the CEO of Aivita Biomedical.
