BORP Feb. 24 poker fundraiser to benefit Power Soccer Program

Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) is hosting its 15th annual poker fundraiser in support of its power soccer program on Sat., Feb. 24th from 5-11 p.m. at the Ed Roberts Campus.

The event is a fundraising Texas Hold'em poker night to benefit athletes with disabilities in the power wheelchair soccer program.  This friendly no-limit Texas hold 'em poker fundraiser will teach you how to play before you start and keep you having fun even if you get knocked out. New, inexperienced, and experienced players are welcome to participate.  Food and non-alcoholic beverages are included in the ticket purchase. There will also be a cash bar.

BORP's Power Soccer Program started in 1988 and was the first power soccer program in the U.S.  During that time, hundreds of powerchair users were provided with opportunities to participate, compete and excel as athletes.
