Shared Adventures offers two Elephant Seal Excursions on Feb. 3 & 17

These events get booked fairly quickly, so we wanted you to know that Santa Cruz-based Shared Adventures will be leading an Elephant Seal Excursion on Feb. 3rd and 17th from 1-2:30 p.m.

Año Nuevo State Reserve is the site of the largest mainland breeding colony in the world for the northern elephant seal. Join Shared Adventures on an Equal Access Tour for an amazing view of the elephant seals. You’ll be transported by van and the seals are a 1/4 mile walk away on an accessible boardwalk. The tour will be led by informative park docents. Afterwards, you can check out the Visitor Center which features natural history exhibits. This event is rain or shine -- the seals love the rain and are more active, so bring a poncho and brave the weather for this amazing opportunity!

Fee for the excursion is $15 per person and the location for departure is 1 New Years Creek Rd., Pescadero.  Please note that there is also a $10 parking fee to park at Año Nuevo State Park.  For registration, contact Shared Adventures at (831) 459-7210.
