Fundraiser for newly-injured Pleasant Hill teenager to be held Feb. 5

We reported on Ryan Joseph, a 16-year-old Pleasant Hill resident who suffered a C-4 spinal cord injury during a high school wrestling match on Jan. 10th.  His supportive community is already busy hosting fundraisers for the various expenses Ryan will be facing in the coming months.

A Ride For Ryan Pasta Feed will be held on Mon., Feb. 5th from 5-8 p.m. at Ryan's school, College Park High School, that aims to raise money for a wheelchair accessible van.  The $15 contribution will get you a pasta plate, salad, dinner roll and water with 100% of the proceeds going toward the purchase of the van.  Tickets can be purchased HERE.  The school is located at 201 Viking Drive in Pleasant Hill.

As for the latest news on Ryan, he is now at Craig Hospital in Colorado for what promises to be an intense therapy stint with the hope of weaning him of the ventilator and allow him to take part in active physical and occupational therapy sessions.  Ryan's GoFundMe page can be found HERE.
