The wild fires of last October in Sonoma County may have led to cancellation of the annual Tech Expo but it didn't deter the folks at Disability Services & Legal Center to come back this year and hold the very popular event on Fri., May 11th at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
This event will showcase the latest technology and services that enable people with disabilities and senior citizens to live/work independently and be an equal part of the community. Exhibitors will display and promote their products and services to individuals, educating them on the use of assistive technology, modified vehicles, home modification options, accessible public transportation, sexual health, adaptive equipment, alternative medicine, adaptive sports, resources for seniors and veterans and more.
This year, among technology, adaptive equipment and services organizations, they will also feature exhibitors that promote the adaptive sports for those with physical challenges. You will meet the local “Blazers” wheelchair basketball team and “No Limits” with Mark Wellman, a two-time Paralympian.
The NorCal WCMX wheelchair skate organization in Santa Rosa, winners of the 2017 WCMX World Championship, will showcase breathtaking wheelchair skating as well.
The event's location is the Grace Pavilion at 1350 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa. If you would like to be an exhibitor at the Tech Expo & More, or have any questions about the event, please contact Lake at 707-636-3063 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
