SCI support group meetings: Berkeley on Sept. 13, Sonoma/Marin on Sept. 17

This month's Berkeley SCI Active Network meeting will take place on Thurs., Sept. 13th featuring a presentation on "Emergency Preparedness" by Gina Biter-Mundt, an adaptive sports consultant at Kaiser Foundation Rehabilitation Center.  Given the increasing threats of wildfires and earthquakes we find ourselves surrounded with in the state, the timing for this topic couldn't have come at a better time.

The meeting is from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Ed Roberts Campus located at 3075 Adeline in Berkeley. Food & refreshments will be provided. For more information, contact Troy Plunkett at (707) 342-9458.

On Mon., Sept. 17th from 4-5:30 p.m., the Sonoma-Marin SCI Support Group will host its monthly meeting at the home of author and disability rights advocate, HolLynn D’Li who has created a house and garden with a variety of accessibility features that are sure to catch the eye of anyone with a spinal cord injury.  Her home is located at 3027 Arroyo Court in Graton (park on the cul de sac or on Shirley St.).  Dinner will be provided, so please RSVP to hdlil@comcast.net by September 12th.

For more information, please contact Stan at (707) 774-6466 or by e-mail at stankosloski@gmail.com.
