The Fresno Spinal Cord Injury Support Group will be meeting on Wed., Oct. 16th from 6-7:30 p.m. featuring guest speaker, Gretchen D’Souza who will speak about her personal experience and mental health as related to SCI. In 2014, Gretchen and her family were on a layover in Dallas, where she met up with some school friends for dinner. On the way back to the airport, a drunken driver ran a stop sign and hit the vehicle she was in, causing it to overturn. Gretchen sustained major injuries that left her a quadriplegic.

The meeting will be held at the 6-west Dayroom at Leon S. Peters Rehabilitation Center. Refreshments will be served. For more information, contact Courina at (559) 459-6296. You can also check out their Facebook page.
