City of San Jose Parks & Rec releases its Spring Adapted Sports & Fitness schedule

The new San Jose Parks & Recreation Spring schedule is out and there are a number of activities designed for wheelchair users that are being offered, including beginning and advanced wheelchair basketball, power soccer, yoga, bowling, martial arts and adapted fitness.  These programs take place at the city's various community centers and you can check them out on pages 12-13 of their SPRING CATALOG.

Most classes have minimal fees though the city does offer some income-based scholarships that could offset such fees but there are a limited number of scholarships available, so apply soon. For more information on these programs, contact Charmaine Guerrero at charmaine.guerrero@sanjoseca.gov or by phone at (408) 794-6290.
