The many benefits of yoga and pilates for wheelchair users have been well documented, so it’s a great opportunity for you to attend the Mon., March 18th meeting of the Sonoma-Marin Spinal Cord Injury Support Group where Paul Comish, adjunct professor in the Adapted PE & PhysEd program at Santa Rosa Jr College, will share how the concepts of yoga and pilates can be integrated in a comprehensive mind/body workout.

Exercises for improving core strength, muscular endurance, coordination, stability and flexibility will be demonstrated, with special focus on proper breathing techniques, form, alignment and integration of both Pilates and yoga principles.

The meeting is held from 4-5:30 p.m. at the Clubhouse at the Azure apartment complex, 5 Indigo Drive, Petaluma.  For more information, please contact Stan at (707) 774-6466 or by e-mail at stankosloski@gmail.com.
