Adaptive Activities event to mark major milestone at CSU Sacramento March 23

Join the City of Sacramento and the Paralympic Sport Sacramento at California State University Sacramento on Sat., March 23rd to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Department of Recreation, Park & Tourism Administration (RPTA) Recreational Therapy Program. The event is being hosted in partnership with "The Well" at CSUS and you can try some new adaptive sports, or play some of your favorites, including adaptive rock climbing, handcycling and recumbent cycling, goalball, quad rugby, beep kickball, wheelchair basketball and boccia ball.

Bring your friends and family for an introduction to paralympic sports, featuring sports clinics led by paralympic coaches and athletes.

All skill levels are welcome to participate. The event is free and takes place from 1-4 p.m. at 6000 J Street in Sacramento. You may register by contacting Alivia Gok at alivia.gok@csus.edu or by phone at (916) 278-2247.
