Reeve Foundation releases new booklets on "sexuality" and "transitioning to home"
The Reeve Foundation recently released two new patient education booklets, as part of their collaboration with Craig Hospital in Colorado, focusing on “Sexuality & Reproductive Health After Paralysis” and “Preparing to Transition Home”, available free.
These free booklets are a great resource for anyone living with paralysis and especially for those who are newly injured.
Preparing to Transition Home provides great information to assist individuals and family members as they plan for transitioning home from inpatient rehabilitation. This booklet covers important topics such as medical care after discharge, home modifications, benefits and financial resources, and employment and education. It also includes a checklist of tasks that need to be completed prior to discharge and a timeline for doing so.
Sexuality & Reproductive Health After Paralysis covers a number of topics including sexual function post injury, dating while paralyzed, and fertility and family planning and contains information for both men and women.
To receive a hard copy of these free booklets (or many other topics), you can call their Information Specialist team at 800-539-7309, or download it directly from their publications page.
