Sierra Cycle Challenge: serious cyclers, this one's for you

If you're a handcyclers and have been searching for a serious event to challenge your skills and stamina, have we got the perfect event for you. The Sierra Cycle Challenge Fundraiser, benefiting Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra, will be held July 27th-29th starting at Mammoth Lakes where riders will conquer a 3-day ride circumnavigating the Glass Mountains for a worthy cause.

You’ll ride 160 miles of varied terrain with over 10,000 feet of climbing, temperature drops in the mountains and temperature spikes in the desert, blazing sun, wind, and dust devils. On Day One, the route takes you from Mammoth Lakes to Falls Creek Ranch, a 55-mile, 1,500 ft. elevation gain. Day Two will run from Falls Creek Ranch to Lee Vining, a 60-mile, 3,600 ft. elevation gain. And finally on Day Three, your ride will start at Grant Lake and end back in Mammoth Lakes, a 55-mile, 2,900 ft. elevation gain. It’s truly some breath taking scenery that you will be experiencing.

Each rider must commit to raising a minimum of $1,500 for Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra and most far exceed this minimum. Their goal is to raise $100,000 this year with all the proceeds going directly to the program and help more individuals with disabilities enjoy the freedom and exhilaration of outdoor recreation.
