San Jose Parks & Recreation launches six Fall adapted recreational classes

With the start of the Fall season less than a week away, the city of San Jose’s Parks and Recreation Dept. is offering six recreational classes for individuals with a physical disability, particularly wheelchair users. One of their really interesting ones is Disc Golf, a rapidly-growing sport that combines frisbee throwing and golf. Though most of the classes are fee-based, the city offers scholarship to help significantly lower the cost of participation to those that are eligible.

Here are the classes and activities they’re offering with each link providing all the details on how to participate:

DISC GOLF

BOWLING

BASKETBALL

ADAPTED FITNESS

MARTIAL ARTS

POWER SOCCER
