BORP to host Annual Open House on Sept. 28 in Berkeley

The Bay Area Outreach & Recreation Program (BORP) in Berkeley will host its annual Open House on Sat., Sept. 28th starting at 10 a.m. at the James Kenney Community Center at 1720 8th St., Berkeley.  Opening Day is their big annual exhibition/hands-on event for many of their sports programs as people will have the opportunity to watch and try out Goalball, Power Soccer and Basketball in the gym and Adaptive Cycling on the outdoor courts. 

People will also be able to learn about other BORP programs (Sled Hockey, Fitness Center, Adventures and Outings, Revolution Ride, etc).  Attendance/participation is free and your families, friends, therapists, teachers, community members, media, etc. are welcome to join in the fun. 

Here's a schedule of activities for the day:
10:00: Welcome Speakers
10:30: Goalball
11:30: Prep Basketball (8 1/2 foot high basket)
12:00: Power Soccer
1:00: Varsity Basketball (10 foot basket)
