SVILC presents April 1 live webinar on completing the important 2020 Census

CENSUS.png

Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau completes a count of everyone in the U.S. by accounting for all adults and children that would help determine the amount of funding your community receives, how your community plans for the future, and your representation in government. It helps state and local leaders to identity and address emerging issues in our community such as homelessness, health care, housing, and educational opportunities.  Specific programs include: Special Education, Early Start and Free Lunch programs, Section 8 housing, SNAP (food assistance), Medi-Cal, and transportation funding.

To help individuals with disability be counted, the Silicon Valley Independent Living Center (SVILC) is hosting a free webinar on Wed., April 1st from 1-2:30 p.m. that is open to anyone to attend regardless of their location. There are three ways you can complete your Census questionnaire which has 9 questions requiring your response: online, phone, mail. The webinar aims to answer any questions you may have as well as demonstrate how to properly complete the Census questionnaire.

You need to register in advance to participate in the webinar HERE.
