After COVID-19: a discussion on the future of accessible travel in the U.S.
For many persons with a disability, the question of when and how the current situation will permit them to think again about traveling in the U.S. is one without any definitive answers. Naturally, there is a high level of anxiety about the safety of travelling among large crowds in congested spaces (think planes, trains and ships). Anticipating this, Bay Area-based Tapooz Travel, has scheduled a FacebookLive discussion on Wed., May 6th at 10 a.m. to address this issue.
Among the many topics that will be covered during the one hour session are:
After the crisis, which destinations in the U.S. will be more or less accessible?
How should I prepare for the journey on the West Coast?
What is best: an urban, city-focused vacation or a road-trip?
Are large cities dangerous for wheelchair-users?
Which National Parks are open?
What about the physical infrastructure of people with mobility limitations, such as equipment rental and accessible transportation?
