We all know too well about the financial impact of a spinal cord injury. It can drain all the financial resources of such individuals and their families for life’s basic necessities. Once you get past those expenses, there are 101 other expenses that present themselves at every turn. It’s a daunting task and as always, there are simply not enough programs that can provide the level of financial assistance one might require.

Well, the folks at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have come up with a fairly extensive directory of grants and financial assistance offered by many non-profits, governmental agencies and companies across many types of needs such as adaptive sports equipment, home and vehicle modifications, scholarships for going to school, therapeutic activities and more. CAUTION: don’t expect to hit the jackpot with any of them. They’re not printing money and can only provide limited amounts to qualified individuals but if you don’t ask, you shall not receive.

So, look over their qualifications and see how they can assist you. You can find the complete directory of these providers HERE.
