Pain. It’s every SCI survivor’s sworn enemy and for many, it lives with them 24/7. Chronic pain is an unmistakable obstacle to well being but mindfulness meditation can be a way around it. In this 45-minute recorded webinar, Dr. Richard Berger of the University of Washington Medical Center describes how through practice and patience, we can give ourselves a choice on how we experience pain. Mindfulness can give seasoned practitioners the self-awareness needed to foster a curious and non-judgmental relationship to their internal and external worlds.

Dr. Berger also explains neuroplasticity, the scientific reasoning behind why mindfulness works, and leads the listeners on a brief meditative session. You can watch this webinar HERE.
