BACKBONES hosts Oct. 14 “Self-Esteem & Body Image in Women with SCI” virtual event

Women with spinal cord injury and disabilities face unique challenges when it comes to building self-esteem and positive body image. On Thurs., Oct. 14th at 4 p.m. PST, BACKBONES is hosting a virtual event for a conversation about adjusting to your new body after injury, embracing your abilities, and feeling confident as a woman with SCI/D. The guests include Cody Unser who experienced Transverse Myelitis at the age of 12 and Reveca Torres who experienced SCI following a car accident while a teenager.
