BACKBONES to host Sept. 23 “A Conversation About Airline Accessibility”

Flying on an airplane comes with many barriers for the disability community. 29 wheelchairs and scooters were damaged per day by airlines in 2019 and as travel ramped back up this summer, many wheelchair users took to social media to share their personal experiences. Join Backbones, in collaboration with All Wheels Up, for an event about airline accessibility and to learn more about the Air Carrier Access Amendments Act. Hear more from Kenny Salvini, president of Here and Now Project, about his personal experience flying with a disability and his important advocacy work. This virtual meeting takes place on Thurs., Sept. 23rd at 4 p.m. PST and you may register for it HERE.
