Hand, a veteran of the independent-living movement, to serve as its transitional administrator until the Board names a permanent Executive Director to replace its departing leader of seven years, Stuart James.  In addition to assuring that TheCIL’s vital services, collaborations and advocacy are maintained at their current levels, Hand will assist the Board in a nationwide search for a permanent Executive Director who will enable TheCIL to reflect the vibrant diversity of its community and reach out to people with disabilities who are currently underserved.
