Comedy for a Spinal Cause returns and raises $2200 for NorCal SCI

After 3 year hiatus, Comedy for a Spinal Cause returns and raises $2200 for NorCal SCI

On September 29th, over 100 people attended a sold out comedy show at The Sound Room in Oakland. It was the 10th edition of Comedy for a Spinal Cause (CFASC), a Bay Area charity comedy show whose proceeds benefit the Northern California SCI community.

Arash and Dave

The event was organized by comedian, speaker, and author David Nihill and NorCal SCI's board member, Arash Bayatmakou. Nihill, who has been touring nationally and raising his own comedic profile, secured all the comedians, who donated their time and skills to a night full of laughs and a great cause.

The Sound Room was kind enough to donate their incredible, extremely ADA-compliant space and many repeat guests said it was the best venue yet for CFASC. As always, Nihill emceed the event, got the crowd roaring with laughter, and passed it on to the comedians: Wendy Lewis, Ben Feldman, Shanti Charan, Justin Lucas, and Jay Rich,

Thanks to all the guests who showed their support of our cause, the evening raised $2,200 which would go toward funding the many programs we have committed to delivering for the SCI community in Northern California in 2022 and beyond.
