Feb. 17 webinar to discuss recent breakthrough in Epidural Electrical Stimulation clinical trials

On the heels of last week’s announcement involving the successful early-stage clinical trials of the Epidural Electrical Stimulation of three individuals with spinal cord injuries, The Reeve Foundation is hosting a live roundtable conversation with the Clinical Trial Investigators Drs. Grégoire Courtine and Jocelyne Bloch, and the company behind it, ONWARD CEO David Marver as they discuss the findings from the new Stimulation Movement Overground (STIMO) study in Switzerland. The live event is taking place on Thurs., Feb. 17th at 8 a.m. PST and you may register to attend HERE.

Three men between the ages of 29 and 41 participated in the STIMO clinical trials and they each had 16-electrode devices implanted in the epidural space, an area between the vertebrae and the spinal cord membrane. The electrodes receive currents from a pacemaker implanted under the skin of the abdomen.

Linda Schultz, Ph.D., CRRN, a leader and provider of rehabilitation nursing for over 30 years, will moderate this discussion about the clinical trial results and what this means for the SCI community and the future of epidural stimulation research. This event is FREE for everyone to attend. Live captioning will be available. This webinar will be recorded and sent out via email to all registrants, as well as available on the Reeve Foundation YouTube channel.
