COOKING WITH ARASH & SHELLEY: Celebrating Persian New Year & Cuisine on March 17

Spring is coming! March 21st isn't just the first day of spring, it's also the Persian New Year, or Norouz, which brings a feast of delicious dishes. Don't know what Persian food is? Don't worry, but once you taste it, you're going to want much more of this unique cuisine. On Thurs., March 17th at 5 p.m. PST, join Arash and Shelley as part of our latest installment of “NorCal SCI Presents: Virtual is the New Reality Series” as they introduce you to the rich, herby stews, fresh salads, and flavorful rice dishes that are the foundation for the spring celebration. Register for this live presentation HERE.

This presentation is made possible thanks to the generosity of our donors and you must register in advance to attend. Once you register, you will immediately receive a confirmation e-mail from us which you should keep for access information to the virtual event.

Arash experienced his SCI in 2012 as a result of a fall. A Bay Area native, Arash credits his California upbringing for his love of the outdoors, nature, and cooking, activities he still cherishes as he continues to travel, explore and enjoy new experiences.

Shelley is a lifelong advocate of nutrition. When she isn’t working with her patients, she can be found in her greenhouse or kitchen. She obtained her B.S. in Nutritional Science from San Jose State University in 2012 and has been working at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, one of the top spinal cord injury rehabilitation hospitals in the country, since 2013.
