UC Berkeley engineers seeking individuals with hand impairment for study assessing adaptive tools

A group of UC Berkeley engineers are researching and developing a system that can potentially assist those with hand impairment to regain function of their fingers and they are seeking volunteers who can participate and evaluate such systems over the next several months. Volunteers need to live within a 15-mile radius from Berkeley as the researchers will be meeting on a regular basis for trials and feedback.

The researchers can meet at your residence or an alternative location and are seeking individuals with SCI with impaired hand mobility as well as their family members/caregivers or PTs, OTs and nurses. A commitment of 1-2 hours for 1-3 sessions is required. To learn more, contact Brittany Powell at (404) 353-6273 or via email at brittanypowell@berkeley.edu.
