Everlasting Love: Improving Male Fertility after a spinal cord injury

Following a spinal cord injury, it is common for men to experience changes in their sexual function and fertility. These changes may result in complete infertility or impaired fertility. However, the symptoms and degree of infertility can vary depending on the type and severity of the spinal cord injury. During a 25-minute session, the hosts, Dr. Rafe Biggs, Deborah Davis, Hector DelValle, and Ligia Andrade Zuniga are joined by special guest, Dr. Lance Goetz who has a T3 level spinal cord injury, to discuss issues around male fertility for those with SCI. You can view this video HERE.

The video is produced by the folks at Sustain Our Abilities, an online resource for people living with disabilities to receive & share information about successful living, and is part of their interactive program focusing on sexuality and SCI. This 40-episode series features Dr. Marcalee Alexander along with Dr. Rafe Biggs, Deborah Davis, Hector DelValle, and Ligia Andrade Zuniga. While the focus of the series is primarily about these disabilities, the information presented is useful to persons with disability, their partners, health care professionals and the general public. You can also find many others on the subject of sexuality and disability on their channel HERE.
