Sierra Hillman, a member of the NorCal SCI community and a long-time subscriber of our newsletter, recently published an article detailing her situation as a sole caregiver for her father, who is a paraplegic.
Sierra shares, “For the past six years I’ve been the sole caretaker of my father, who became paraplegic after a spinal cord injury. This deeply personal journey has shaped both my life and my career path. Today, I work as a health designer at IDEO, a global design agency, where I focus on how design can improve and optimize health-related experiences.
I recently wrote about my caregiving experience, and it resonated with many people who shared similar stories with me. I believe it could offer encouragement and a sense of connection for others navigating similar challenges.”
