Picnic and Naturalist-led Hike for Women with SCI at Point Pinole
Join your women SCI peers from around the Bay Area for a fun in-person picnic (bring your own lunch and drink) and a Naturalist-led hike at beautiful Pt. Pinole Regional Park in Richmond, CA.
Pt. Pinole boasts one of our favorite wheelchair-accessible hiking areas and is easy to get to from the East Bay, North Bay and points in between. Come hang out with old friends and meet some new friends too!

Birding by Ear Virtual Presentation
Bird watching (and listening) is one of the most enjoyable recreational activities available to all of us regardless of ability. Discover the joy of Birding by Ear in this engaging virtual presentation led by lifelong bird enthusiast Susan Glass. Blind since birth, Susan began birding by ear at age 4. She leads bird walks and gives talks on identifying birds by sound, studying bird behavior,and cultivating bird habitats at home.

Love the beach but your wheelchair doesn’t? Here is your chance to have some fun ON the beach with Freedom Trax, a unique mobility device that was created to access difficult terrain including sand. Freedom Trax are generously provided by NatureTrack
This event is part of Crip’d Ecologies, Unfurling Expanded Environments, a multi-component art and disability justice project.
