Caregiver MeetUp on Zoom Today!
If you would like to be among people who care for a loved one with an SCI, this meet up is for you - whether you’re a caregiver, family member or friend. Join us on the first and third Tuesday of the month at 4pm PST for an hour of chatter, connection and networking among our SCI caregivers.
Hosted by Jenn, Tricia and Robin, we look forward to getting to know you and helping with any caregiving questions you might have.
Who are we?
Jenn, Robin and Tricia know each other through NorCal SCI. As parents and spouses of loved ones with an SCI, we realized how much support we were able to get from one another in our conversations and connection, so critical when we can feel so alone as a caregiver, even with our good friends around us. That's why we decided to start a support group for anyone who has a loved one with an SCI and would like to connect to talk about their issues and have so many questions answered.
Here are our stories in a nutshell:
Robin's husband Ray had a cervical SCI in June of 2019 while on vacation in Bali
Tricia's daughter Jo had a C4/5 injury in December 2018 from a snowboarding accident
Jenn's husband Chris had a T10 SCI in February of 2010 a week away from welcoming their first child.
Don't forget that being in a support group is one of the most important ways we can help ourselves - connecting with, learning from and sharing with each other. And if you know anyone who may benefit from this type of support, let them know about our MeetUp!
