Day on The Lake Featured in Open Road

The NBC Bay Area Open Road “Springtime wildflowers and accessibility for all” featured the Day on the Lake event which was organized by SCVMC Rehabilitation Center. First aired on August 18th, the segment focuses on the accessible dock at Vasona Lake and how such a facility gives everyone the opportunity to get out on the lake regardless of their physical ability.

Since the accessible dock opened in 2023, the actual usage by the disability community has been low. NorCal SCI would encourage everyone to make the most of these types of facilities and there is still time to get out on the lake before the season finishes.
