The Franklin Project Bay Area - Exciting development for vital continued SCI Rehab at SCI-FIT Dublin

NorCal SCI is proud to announce the expansion of our most impactful program - The Franklin Project (TFP). This grant program launched in 2023 and provides intensive outpatient rehabilitation to people who are 2 years or less post-SCI.

Previously, grant recipients were given the opportunity to do a 5 week intensive program at Neuroworx, in Utah but NorCal SCI has added a local option for participants that is launching August 1st. Both programs will now be available for anyone meeting the requirements.

In collaboration with our friends at SCI-FIT Dublin, The Franklin Project Bay Area will provide vital outpatient PT and neuro-exercise. Bobby Huntington, who was hired in 2023 as SCI-FIT’s first Neuro PT, has been recently joined by a second PT – Crystal Zeledon – and both will be leading the rehab program.

Approved participants will have a schedule of 2 days per week of 2 hours over a 10 week period. (1 hour therapy with a licensed PT + 1 hour with a neuro-exercise specialist.) There’s also the option to add a free hour of using the FES bike before or after each of your sessions at SCI-FIT.

Grants are limited so if you’re interested in either the TFP Utah or TFP Bay Area, please review all the requirements and apply HERE
