Physical Therapy Grants for Newly Injured Available in Sacramento Starting Feb 1!

The Franklin Project NorCal participant Ryan Lai doing PT at SCI FIT Dublin

NorCal SCI is proud to announce the expansion of our largest grant program - The Franklin Project (TFP) to Sacramento, starting February 1st, 2026. This grant program launched in 2023 and provides intensive outpatient rehabilitation to people who are 2 years or less post-SCI.

Grant recipients will still be given the opportunity to apply for the intensive program at Neuroworx in Utah (the largest and most impactful option) or to pursue TFP NorCal at SCI FIT Dublin, and now we’re adding the option to go to SCI FIT Sacramento.

The structure and timing of the Utah vs. NorCal options differ so we recommend you read through all the details on our TFP page to learn more and see if you qualify.

Bobby Huntington, who was hired in 2023 as SCI-FIT Dublin’s first Neuro PT, will be leading the program and providing PT at SCI FIT Sacramento 2 days per week (schedule to be determined) in addition to working with two other PTs to maintain the program at SCI FIT Dublin.

SCI FIT’s Licensed Neuro Physical Therapist Bobby Huntington will work between both Dublin & Sacramento locations starting Feb 1st.

TFP NorCal participants will have a schedule of 2 days per week of 2 hours over a 10 week period. (1 hour therapy with a licensed PT + 1 hour with a neuro-exercise trainer). There’s also the option to add a free hour of using the FES bike before or after each of your sessions at SCI-FIT.

Grants are limited so if you’re interested in either the TFP Utah or TFP NorCal, please review all the requirements and apply HERE
