Vasona Park ADA Boating Dock to Open on July 29th, Join Us!

Come join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony, kayaking, socializing and lunch on Saturday July 29th starting at 10am at Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos.

The event is free and there will be no entrance charge to the park if you present your parking placard. NorCal SCI will be providing lunch.

It is an opportunity to celebrate Franklin Elieh's legacy who, along with other SCI community members, advocated for persons with physical disabilities to have complete access to the beautiful facility’s boating center.

The advocacy of NorCal SCI combined with the efforts of the Santa Clara Valley Supervisors, Santa Clara County Parks & Recreation and Los Gatos-Saratoga Community Education & Recreation over a number of years brought this much needed accessible capability to fruition.

The event kicks off with the ribbon cutting ceremony from 10 to 11am, followed by access to free kayaking and lunch. There will be 8 to 12 open slots for kayaking (2 person kayaks) based on the interest. Please complete the form below for the ribbon cutting ceremony, lunch and Kayaking so we can properly plan for the event.

We are looking forward to thanking all the organizations that helped make this happen and to enjoy an opportunity to get together for kayaking, socializing and lunch!
