Navigating Health Insurance: Webinar Presented by the Reeve Foundation

Navigating the complexities of health insurance can be an unclear and daunting process, particularly for individuals managing coverage requirements within Medicare. To help demystify the system, an upcoming educational, product-neutral webinar will offer practical, real-world strategies for navigating the health insurance appeals process. The discussion will place a specific focus on securing Durable Medical Equipment (DME), including essential urological supplies.

This session is designed specifically for individuals, family caregivers, and anyone dedicated to supporting broader access to healthcare. During the presentation, organizers will introduce and distribute the CareKey Patient Advocacy Toolkit, a resource built to provide practical guidance, improve understanding of insurance frameworks, and significantly strengthen personal advocacy efforts.

The webinar brings together a collaborative panel of seasoned advocates and clinical experts. Moderated by global keynote speaker and health equity advocate Ali Ingersoll , the panel includes clinical insights from Kristy M. Borawski, M.D. (Professor of Urology at the University of North Carolina) , alongside perspective from advocates Sheri Denkensohn, JD , and Matt Castelluccio (Co-owner of Happy On Wheels LLC).

The event is hosted in partnership with the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation and United Spinal Association, and it is sponsored by Becton Dickinson (BD). Registration is completely free and open to the general public.
