NorCal SCI Partners with SCVMC to Coordinate Peer Support

We are excited to announce that we will be officially partnering with SCI Peer Support at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Rehabilitation Center, thanks to a grant from The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation.

In addition to leading weekly support group meetings, NorCal SCI Peer Supporters will offer follow-up mentorship to recently discharged patients. Our special relationship with SCVMC goes way back and NorCal SCI founding members all became friends while volunteering as Peer Supporters there over a decade ago. This friendship and connection at peer support was one of the catalysts to start NorCal SCI.

We are honored and proud to be part of this important program and are committed to do what we can to enhance the rehab experience of the newly injured both while they are in the Hospital and when they return to the community.

SCVMC Rehabilitation Center is ranked #6 in US News and World Report for Rehabilitation in the entire country and ranked highest on the West Coast.
