Stay Active, Stay Connected: Reintroducing Staying Driven Fitness This Fall!

As the crisp autumn air settles in and the days grow shorter, maintaining a consistent exercise routine can feel like an uphill climb. The colder weather makes outdoor movement less inviting, and with the holiday season fast approaching—bringing its endless array of delicious seasonal treats—it becomes all too easy to let physical fitness drift to the back burner.

However, staying active during these cooler months is one of the most powerful choices you can make for your body and mind. Regular cardiovascular and strength training plays a crucial role in maintaining joint flexibility, supporting cardiovascular health, and managing metabolic function.

Beyond the physical gains, physical activity acts as a potent mental health buffer: research shows that physical exercise triggers the release of endorphins and neurotransmitters that combat seasonal mood changes, reduce stress, and improve sleep quality.

Equally important to physical health is the power of community. Engaging in group wellness activities fosters a sense of shared purpose and social connectedness that significantly reduces feelings of isolation and boosts psychological resilience. That is why NorCal SCI is excited to re-engage our community with Staying Driven Fitness! Led by Steph Roach—who brings an invaluable, firsthand perspective as someone living with a spinal cord injury herself—these virtual adaptive fitness sessions are designed specifically to meet you where you are, offering personalized movement strategies in an encouraging, peer-supported environment.

We are pleased to continue offering these interactive virtual classes completely free of charge to the SCI community! Sessions take place every Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time.

Starting this November, the schedule remains exactly the same, but we are transitioning to a brand-new class registration portal to ensure a smooth, seamless experience for everyone joining in.

To reserve your spot for the upcoming November sessions and secure your access through the updated registration system, fill out the form below to get started!
