Join the Action: San Francisco Adaptive Sports Fair Returns this May
Get ready for an afternoon of movement, community, and discovery. Sutter Health CPMC Inpatient Rehabilitation and the Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) are coming together once again to host the second annual San Francisco Adaptive Sports Fair.
Following a highly successful inaugural year, the event is back and larger than ever. Scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the fair will transform the Glen Park Rec Center into a hub for inclusive athletics. This is a free community event designed for adaptive sports enthusiasts, their friends, and their families.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports tailored for accessibility, including:
Adaptive Cycling
Adaptive Table Tennis
Adaptive Fencing
Adaptive Pickleball
Wheelchair Basketball
Beyond the activities, the fair serves as a gathering point for the local community. This year, the organizers are expanding the experience by inviting several non-profit organizations to host tables, providing resources and information for those living with physical disabilities.
Lunch is included for all participants, making it the perfect opportunity to spend the whole day enjoying sports and connecting with local organizations. Whether you are a seasoned athlete or looking to try an adaptive sport for the first time, the San Francisco Adaptive Sports Fair offers a welcoming environment to get active.
