Updates to Our Housing Resources Page

If you live with a disability, then you’re undoubtedly aware of the challenges of finding accessible housing. Housing supply is painfully low and there are very few resources out there for modifications and adaptations to existing housing.

Luckily, our friends at Spinalpedia recently put together a list of nationwide non-profits that provide financial support and resources for accessible housing for people with disabilities and we’ve added that list to our existing local resources on our Housing page.

Each organization has different criteria so make sure you review each carefully and apply for support if you need it.

Also, a reminder that NorCal SCI $2500 Road to Recovery grants can be used to make modifications for increased accessibility or to purchase adaptive equipment for the home (e.g. ramps, stair climbers, lifts, bathroom chairs, etc.). Apply to a R2R grant now for this impactful opportunity
