Spring Lake Regional Park in Santa Rosa is one of Sonoma County's most popular parks, featuring trails, a campground, picnic areas, a natural history center, and a summer swimming lagoon. Much of the park is wheelchair accessible. Trails include an easy paved route around the lake and connections to Trione-Annadel State Park and the city of Santa Rosa's Howarth Park.

paved, 1.2-mile path curving through magnificent oak woodland. The entrance offers a grassy picnic and barbecue area under the shade of large oaks.

You also might want to check out the summer activities guide, published by the County park services, which offers dozens of ways to discover your Sonoma County parks. Just about a year ago NorCalSCI in Los Gatos created a free medical exchange program on their web site, opening a way to make donated durable medical equipment available for free to those in need in the Bay Area. In the recent past they have “exchanged” a Hoyer lift, shower/commode chairs, walkers and crutches, as well as a scooter and manual wheelchair to San Francisco Bay Area residents. The page with the current inventory of available “goodies” can be found at: https://norcalsci.org/equipment-list
