SCI Alliance Presents: Pressure Sores with Dr. Bo
Living with a spinal cord injury brings unique daily challenges, but finding clear, practical health guidance shouldn't be one of them. To bridge that gap, regional non-profits—including Triumph Foundation, Spinal Network, Here and Now Project, Nevada SCI, Oregon SCI, and NorCal SCI—joined forces to launch the SCI Alliance. This West Coast partnership brings trusted experts and practical wellness resources directly to the SCI community. The Alliance officially kicked off its educational series with a focus on one of the most vital aspects of day-to-day well-being: pressure sore prevention and management.
The inaugural session featured Dr. Christopher Bo, a board-certified physiatrist double fellowship-trained in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine at Mount Sinai and trained at the renowned Kessler Institute. Dr. Bo walked participants through proactive prevention strategies, early warning signs every individual and caregiver should recognize, modern treatment options, and actionable advice for keeping skin healthy over the long haul.
