Texas considers allowing unproven stem cell therapies made public
There's word coming out of the Wild Wild West, otherwise known as the State of Texas, that there are several state bills under consideration by the legislature that would allow the offering of stem cell therapies without requiring the rigorous requirements typically placed by the FDA.
This has created a major debate within the scientific community while uncovering a little known fact that there are currently some 570 clinics in the U.S. alone that are offering stem cell therapies without receiving FDA's approval. These therapies are made available in support of many kinds of diseases or disorders, often times by charging the recipient.
