REVIEW: Accessibility Day activities mark a fun day for the disabled community
It took the team at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center an amazing three months to pull an event out of a hat this past Saturday as they hosted their first Accessibility Day and then declared next year's event set for Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018. You can see a video montage of the day HERE.
Over 20 exhibitors and several hundred attendees enjoyed a beautiful day on the campus of the hospital that created an opportunity for the attendees to check out the latest products, learn about many recreational opportunities and meet old friends they hadn't seen in person while enjoying hot dogs, chips and watermelons provided by their BBQ team.
The day included activities such as demonstration of the Exoskeleton, cycling, basketball, bocce ball, tennis using a wheelchair. Canine Companions showed off their super smart dogs, modified vehicles were being shown off and a modified Harley Davidson was a show stopper.
We have a list of all the exhibitors and their web site for your use on this page.
